Symphony Munoz Honored by ASC

McMurry women's tennis player Symphony Munoz of Monahans, TX, was one of seven players to receive ASC women's tennis post-season accolades. The War Hawks team went 14-8 on the year and set a school record with 13-consecutive wins.

Senior Chloe Patterson (Spring, Texas) picked as the Flight 1 singles and Flight 2 doubles honoree on the All-ASC team. Patterson was also first team ASC All-West Division, as well as the West Division "Player of the Year." Patterson went 13-7 overall, 5-0 in the ASC West in both singles and doubles play.

Patterson's doubles partner and fellow senior - Gabby Camacho (Abilene, Texas) - also earned All-ASC and first team ASC All-West at No. 2 doubles. Camacho was also an All-West Division pick at Flight 5 singles.

McM head coach Mark Hathorn's third senior on the team - Bree Brosig (Lubbock, Texas) - earned All-ASC honors at Flight 2 singles, as well as first team ASC All-West. Brosig was first team All-West at Flight 1 doubles. Brosig was 12-9 overall in singles play and went 12-8 with doubles partner Samantha Ritz (Rowlett, Texas).

In addition to the first team ASC All-West doubles award at Flight 1, she was All-West second team at Flight 3 singles. Ritz had a team-best record of 16-5 in singles, including a school-record 14-match win skein in 2017.

Sophomore Symphony Munoz (Monahans, Texas) was second team ASC All-West at Flight 6 singles. The Flight 3 doubles tandem of sophomore Zayra Gomez (Andrews, Texas) and freshman Neah Garza (Abilene, Texas) were second team ASC All-West.
