Robyn Remschel Receives Swimming Honors

2017 Jan 30

For the fourth time this season, McMurry University women's swimmer Robyn Remschel of Fredericksburg, TX has been named as the Swimmer of the Week from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference by the website CollegeSwimming.com. CollegeSwimming.com selects its award winners based on quality of swims, individual wins and team results.

Versus a field of largely NCAA Division II competition at the Colorado College Classic (McM and host Colorado College were the only NCAA III teams), Remschel was McM's lone event winner. Remschel took first place in the women's 200-yard backstroke (2:10.16), after also posting the fastest time in the preliminaries. Remschel was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.35) and 24th (out of 53 competitors) in the 50 freestyle. She also swam on all three of the War Hawks' relay teams at the event.
