Robyn Remschel Receives Swimming Honors

Robyn Remschel of Fredericksburg TX was honored for swimming excellence this week by CollegeSwimming.com and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Recognized were women's team member Robyn Remschel, as well as War Hawks' men's teammates Jerick Pena and Austin Gombas.

Remschel and Pena were cited as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Swimmers of the Week, after competing in last weekend's Hendrix Relays and Hendrix Classic in Conway, Ark. Remschel and Austin Gombas earned honors as the SCAC weekly winners from the web site, CollegeSwimming.com. CollegeSwimming.com selects its winners from a performance-based formula, rather than nominations.

Remschel placed second in the 200-yard backstroke at the Hendrix Classic, in a field dominated by scholarship athletes. She touched in a time of 2:08.46 minutes, while, while also competing on relays at both the Hendrix Relays and Classic meets.
