Robyn Remschel Receives Swimming Honors

For the third time during the 2017-18 season, McMurry University senior Robyn Remschel of Fredericksburg, TX has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) women's Swimmer of the Week award. It was also the ninth time in her four-year career with the War Hawks that Remschel has earned the SCAC weekly honor.

Remschel had a great performance at the Austin College Invitational, where McMurry's team placed fourth. Remschel won both the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.89) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:13.40) events in her first competition back since the holiday break. She was also second in the 50-yard freestyle (26.34) and handled the lead leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay, which placed third overall.

The War Hawks will next be in action on January 13, when the team travels to the University of Texas-Permian Basin.
