Michael Hunt Earns ASC Weekly Men's Golf Honor

Just one day after leading McMurry University's men's golf team to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Central Region championship, sophomore Michael Hunt of Sweetwater, TX has been named as the American Southwest Conference co-Golfer of the Week, it has been announced by the league's office.

Hunt finished second in the overall standings with an aggregate 215 for his 54 holes, five shots behind winner Colton Ryan of Central Baptist.

Hunt shot a 75 in Tuesday's final round, finishing the NCCAA regional event with a one-under-par 215. That ranked as the fifth-best total for an individual in relation to par for 54 holes, in school history.
