Michael Brown Earns ASC Track Honor

McMurry University scholar-athlete Michael Brown of Oxnard, CA, has been chosen for the American Southwest Conference "Athlete of the Week" award.

Brown ran the fastest time this season in the NCAA III South/Southeast Region in winning the 400 meters by better than a half-second with a time of 49.18 seconds (topping a field of 25 runners) at the War Hawks Classic. He also ran the second leg on McM's 4x400 relay team, which won by more than two full seconds (despite the windy conditions) with a clocking of 3:22.89.
