2017 Mar 9

McMurry Women's Basketball player Skyler Reyna of San Antonio, TX is a member of the McMurry University women's basketball program which has been honored with the American Southwest Conference "Team Sportsmanship Award" for the second-consecutive season.

The award, in its 10th academic year, honors the member institution(s) in each ASC championship sport that best displays positive qualities of sportsmanship and fair play from its student-athletes, coaches and fans throughout the season. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committees (SAAC) from the conference's 13 member institutions vote on the recipients.

"It is an honor to be chosen as the ASC Sportsmanship Award co-West winner for the second year in a row," said McM head coach Brittany Densman-Roes. "Our coaching staff takes pride in placing emphasis on those attributes of the game and we are proud that our athletes utilize those characteristics on the court. This award is a testament to the standard we try to hold in our program. I am extremely proud of this team and humbly say thank you to the SAAC members for recognizing us once again this season."
