McMurry Senior Honors student Graeme Regan Presents Honors Play

For his Honors Opus, McMurry Seniior Honors student Graeme Regan of Abilene, TX has written a play based on the idea that the Greek Pantheon of gods awakens after being asleep for 2000 years. Zeus decides to send Hermes, the messenger, down to earth to see how things have changed and why they are no longer worshipped. The play is a witty examination of the nature of current culture as Hermes is introduced to modern conveniences like pizza, electric ovens, microwaves, telephones, etc., and attempts to explain those to his Olympian brethren.

There was a reading of the play in the Ryan Little Theatre on Thursday, Dec. 14, followed by a brief question and answer period with the playwright .
