Matthew Brown Wins International Model UN Recognition

Matthew Brown of San Angelo, TX received international recognition while representing the country of Nigeria in the 2015 National Model United Nations Conference- Europe held in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

"The hard work these students put in paid off as McMurry University was rewarded for an outstanding show at this year's conference by being recognized with an "Honorable Mention" performance," said faculty advisor Dr. Joel Olufowote, political science professor at McMurry. "Doug Alldredge and Matthew Brown were four for four, Kirk Hodel was three for three, and Tereza Sliter was two for two in securing recognition from the conference organizers through position paper and delegation awards over the last four years, a distinction less than 20% of the universities participating receive."
