Larandall Scroggins Earns NCCAA All-Region Honor

McMurry University men's basketball senior Larandall Scroggins of Carrollton, TX added another honor to his outstanding career in the Maroon & White, earning All-Central Region honorable mention from the National Christian College Athletic Association, it has been announced.

Scroggins, a senior from Carrollton, Texas, led the War Hawks in scoring (13.3 p.p.g.) and rebounding (6.4 r.p.g.), as well as field goal percentage (51.4 percent). A four-year starter for McMurry, Scroggins capped his career with four double-doubles and double-figure scoring in 20 of 25 contests in 2017-18.

He also reached both the 500 rebounds and 1,000 points plateaus for his career during the most recent campaign. Scroggins was a second team All-American Southwest Conference West Division honoree in 2017-18, as well.

Scroggins was the McM team captain. Off the court, Scroggins - a biomedical science major - is the president of McMurry's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

"LaRandall has earned everything coming his way this post-season," McM head coach Zach Pickelman said. "I'm happy for him and our program getting recognized by the NCCAA."
