Kirk Hodel Recognized at National Model UN Conference

Kirk Hodel of Kerrville, TX was a part of the McMurry University Model UN Team recognized as a "Distinguished Delegation" at the national Model UN Conference in New York City. The recognition is the highest delegation level of recognition received in New York over the last three years.

"We had a smaller team than usual this year and were in simulation with universities that brought 20 students and more. National Model UN- New York is the mega-conference with over 5000 college and university students altogether. It is extremely difficult, no matter the size of your team, to get recognized unless your performance is uniquely spectacular," said sponsor Dr. Joel Olufowote. "Our students came prepared, excelled in their roles and, despite our size, gained the attention and respect of their peers and especially the conference organizers. I am very proud of the way these students represented McMurry University."
