Kirk Hodel Participates in International Model UN Event

Kirk Hodel of Kerrville, TX, is one of eight students from McMurry University are traveling to Kobe, Japan on Nov. 19 to participate in an international Model UN Conference. The students will represent Spain and Portugal in a variety of committees, to discuss topics such as the nuclear situation in North Korea, the refugee crisis in Europe, and empowering women in conflict zones. While in Japan, the students also will visit cultural sites in Kyoto and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial.

The conference will host college students from every region of the world, including Canada, Chile, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Nigeria, the Philippines, and Russia.
