David Remschel to Participate in McMurry University Homecoming Musical

David Remschel, a Junior Theatre (Acting/Directing Focus) major from Fredericksburg, TX, will be performing as Doctor Prospero in McMurry University's Homecoming Musical Return to the Forbidden Planet.

Directed by McMurry Theatre Professor Dr. Philip Craik, Return to the Forbidden Planet is a Jukebox musical by playwright Bob Carlton based on Shakespeare's The Tempest and the 1950s science fiction film Forbidden Planet (which itself drew its plot loosely from The Tempest).

Cast members Miranda Priddy aand Lee Jones also serve as assistant director and stage manager.

Musical numbers include such rock classics as Great Balls of Fire (Tempest, Cookie, Crew) Good Vibrations (Tempest, Ariel, Crew) Why Must I Be A Teenager In Love? (Miranda) All Shook Up (Prospero, Miranda, Cookie) Gloria (Crew) 5-4-3-2-1 (Crew) Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood (Science Officer) Who's Sorry Now? (Ariel) Only the Lonely (Cookie, Bosun Arras) Shake, Rattle and Roll (Ariel, Cookie, Crew) The Young Ones (Captain Tempest, Miranda) and many many more!

The show runs from October 18 - 20 and Oct. 25 - 27, 2012. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. each day in Ryan Little Theatre.
