Carlos Martinez Hamdan is ASC West Player of the Week for Men's Tennis

McMurry University sophomore men's tennis standout Carlos Martinez Hamdan of Abilene, TX

has been named as the American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office.

Martinez improved his team-leading singles record to 12-2 after picking up first singles wins over Howard Payne (6-2, 6-1) and UT Dallas (6-3, 7-6 (11-9)). He also teamed with Clayton Pope in number one doubles for victories against HPU and UTD to extend their winning streak to four.
