Bethany Everett Receives NCCAA Honor

Fresh off of her personal-best performance in the weight throw at the Texas Tech Open, McMurry University junior thrower Bethany Everett of Abilene, TX was named as the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) field events Student-Athlete of the Week for women's indoor track and field, it was announced by the national office.

Everett had a toss of 16.14 meters (52'-11.50") - eclipsing her previous best by 1'-3.00" - to finish third out of 32 competitors. Everett's heave extended her NCCAA-leading mark atop the weight throw performance list.

Everett's effort was also has the leading throw in the American Southwest Conference and the NCAA Division III South/Southwest regional rankings, as well.
